Part 1: Sweet Connection Classes- Valentine Chocolate Truffles Truffles—the name alone sounds glamorous and inviting! What better gift to give your Valentine than the melt-in-your-mouth goodness of dark chocolate and rich cream laced with raspberry or Amaretto. Both elegant and decadent, truffles are deceptively simple to make; cream, chocolate, and time is all it takes to produce pure bliss. In this class, each couple will make two, decorative 5-piece boxes of truffles including both flavors—perfect for gift giving or to indulge yourself. Make your Valentine swoon this year with deliciously divine raspberry and Amaretto truffles! Part 2: Two Mikes Art Factory- Enchanting Mosaic Heart Using a heart-shaped plaque, each couple will piece together glass tiles to create a unique mosaic design. About Sweet Connection Classes : Mary Adashek is a baking and candy making enthusiast and attributes her passion for baking to her mother who taught her many skills. Mary began creating candies over 30 years ago when she noticed her husband's love for caramels and decided to take on the challenge of making them for him. Since then, she has expanded her repertoire of goodies and shared her tasty treats with family and friends. In 2018, she founded Sweet Connection Classes and is now able to share the techniques she has learned with others. Her greatest thrill is empowering others to create high quality candies of their own with ease! About Two Mikes Art Factory : Our names are Kristy and Kelly and we met while working in the floral industry. We have expressed our natural artistic talents since childhood and come from loving, close-knit families with creative backgrounds. With 45 years of combined professional experience and our degrees in art and design, we have decided to share our creativity with others by hosting creative workshops to make people discover their inner artist. Why Two Mikes?! Terrible diseases took our dads away from us. They were both named Mike and were both creative geniuses! (The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.) The second mission of our workshops is to contribute a portion of our profits to the American Lung Association and the Association for Frontotemporal Dementia in memory of our dads.
